Hello. I am Richard Moon. I’m from England. I’ve been in Japan for about twenty years, and I live in Amami. The English language is important to me, and it is becoming essential in more and more areas of life. I am very proud of my students, and I am confident teaching a wide range of ages and abilities. I always try to teach good grammar and English pronunciation. My method of teaching English is of the traditional variety, and textbooks, notebooks and workbooks are normally used. I also set my adult students homework, which is to be checked in the next lesson. I believe that my school is effective because I try to teach all the aspects of English and not simply conversation. Basically I follow the method of teaching English using listening, speaking, reading and then writing -- in that order. My school isn’t in the middle of the city so it is not noisy, and there is a parking space. I am confident I can provide friendly and effective English lessons which are inexpensive, and that there is no better English school here.
-So I’m very passionate about teaching. I’m also passionate about other things too. Since an early age I’ve been interested in electronics, and I like to make machines. Some of my machines can restore most car batteries to a useful condition. I also have four motorcycles which I made from junked bikes, and all of them are legal and run well. My workbench is usually covered with tools and equipment because I’m always trying to make or repair something. I also like playing the guitar, but I’m only learning. I built the inside of this school myself, and though my woodwork isn’t so beautiful, it is strong, and it is functional. In fact I have many hobbies, and in my free time I’m always active doing something - I love learning -- anything. I haven’t owned a television for about ten years, and I’m an active internet researcher. I am very interested in international politics. I’m a pretty unusual person I suppose! I’m a ‘night-person,’ and I usually go to sleep after dawn. - I love the nights. I can think clearly and undisturbed at night.
